Not my gifs sorry, but I just needed to point out Gerard’s face in that last frame of the second picture. JUST LOOK AT IT. First he’s all confused like “the fuck was that” but then he sees it was Frank and his face lights up.
He seriously looks so fucking happy to have Frank throwing himself at him onstage, like old times. See, it’s a pretty rare thing these days for Frank to go to Gerard like this.. He used to always be the one ‘making the first move’ and being all over Gerard onstage, but his attitude definitely changed after the ‘fight’ in 2007. He’s much more reserved now - he’ll wait for Gerard to come to him, 9 times out of 10. The roles have completely reversed.
I saw it at nearly every show I went to on the World Contamination tour. Gerard was constantly going over to Frank, singing to him, stroking his hair, putting his arm round him, etc, and Frank would just stand there and play in his own little world with his eyes closed, too many times not even acknowledging Gerard’s attention.
Out of the 30 shows I went to, this was the only time I saw Frank let his guard down enough to go to Gerard first. No wonder Gerard’s so ecstatic.
